Professional Profile
2001-2003
After graduating from FAU, Christine quickly secured a job at Northern Trust in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She was responsible for putting together investor presentations and research. She excelled at researching stocks and mastered tickers along with the Bloomberg terminal. She completed her masters degree in financial planning while working at the bank, a true work/education experience. After her second year, the team at Northern Trust witnessed the 9/11 attacks live from the TV monitors. That horrific event caused the market to lose $1.4 trillion, 14% in value creating panic through the banking system and the clients. This event caused Christine to refocus on real estate as a more stable and tangible investment.

2002-2010
Christine worked for GMAC Commercial Mortgage in Boca Raton, Florida originating all types of loans with a focus on construction loans. As a result of the GFC, GMAC would become Capmark, then Tavernier Capital and eventually Berkadia. The GFC slow down, although difficult, provided fortunate timing as Christine welcomed two children in 2006 and 2007.
During the unfolding of the GFC, Christine focused on servicing loans originated pre-GFC and self storage loan closings as that asset class remained mostly unaffected by the GFC. She left that position to relocate the family and seek a role with a real estate owner.
2010-2011
Christine and her family moved to Hobe Sound, FL to raise her children in a small rural town. She took a year hiatus from professional employment to be with her kids during the transition, introducing them to the new community and schools. If you know Christine, sitting around while kids are in school is not her thing. She was always a Pilates enthusiast and immediately earned her comprehensive classical Pilates teacher certification and began teaching at many studios in the Jupiter/Hobe Sound area.
2011-2026
In September of 2011, Christine had an auspicious Skype meeting with a multifamily investment platform owner and operator, American Landmark. The company was reinvesting profit from a lucrative sale and rebuilding the portfolio. Christine brought much needed sophistication to this role and quickly excelled to Chief Investment Officer. She would build the investment team that remains there today, with tenure exceeding 7 years. Together that team built the platform creating processes and templates to expedite deal sourcing, underwriting and sales. The investment team has executed:
-
$11B in acquisition value with $4B in equity, over 200 transactions and 70k units.
-
2012 to date realized over 100 assets with a transaction volume of $7B, 25% IRR and 2.4MP
-
Raised $1b pre-fund JV equity. $3b institutional fund. Maintained investor relations, meetings and presentations at the AGM.
-
Constructed a proprietary insurance program to inhibit rising insurance costs. Managed the risk portfolio and claims. Reduced costs by 15% with costs per unit substantially below industry standards
-
Managed acquisition and refinance debt as well as loan provision compliance. Executed debt of varying structures with average in place rate of 4.5% across 97 assets.
As a member of the Investment Committee and the C-suite Christine oversaw all facets of sourcing equity and debt, institutional capital raising and oversaw all investment decisions related to acquisitions, financial structure and dispositions. She studied and saturated in internal data converting that knowledge into executable investments. She acted as a liaison between operations and investments to ensure holistic signoff on transactions. During the investment hold period Christine collaborated with operations on asset management. Her involvement was typically an exception where issues would evolve within an investment, underwriting or equity and debt. The CIO position was unique in that it allowed her broad coverage and exposure to both operations and investments. It also gave her daily touches to external audiences: lenders, equity and legal, who counted on her opinions and judgment.
